Ubisoft is already actively working on the next big installment of one of its most important franchises. The Division 3 is officially in production, and according to its top executive, the project is aiming high from within the studio.
It was Julian Gerighty, the franchise’s head, who made it clear what level of ambition the team has. In his own words, the game “is becoming a monster”, a statement that reflects the scale and aspirations of the new title.
Massive Entertainment wants to repeat the impact of the original The Division
Gerighty explained that development is taking place at Massive Entertainment, the studio responsible for the saga since its inception. According to the executive, the internal goal is clear: to achieve an impact comparable to that of the original The Division when it debuted.
“Within these walls, at Massive, we are working extremely hard on something that I believe will have an impact as big as The Division 1”, Gerighty stated, hinting that the team is not settling for a simple evolution, but rather a significant leap for the series.
So far, no details have been shared about the setting, gameplay, or release window, but the message conveys confidence and ambition. After years of experience with the first two installments and their long-term support, Ubisoft seems determined to take the franchise to a new level with this third part.
While concrete information is still lacking, what is clear is that The Division 3 is already underway and that within the studio, it is considered one of the most important projects in their immediate future.
