Sonic 4 shows its first teaser trailer confirming two characters back

We’re moving forward in 2026, a year that promises to be one of the greatest and most intense in the video game industry, with a good number of important releases scheduled throughout the months, and we’ve already had some recently, such as Marathon or Resident Evil: Requiem.

Something that has also improved greatly is the situation in movies and series with adaptations of popular game franchises, with Sonic being one of the most popular since it began in 2020.

Sonic 4 Revs Up for Next Year

It could be said that the blue hedgehog is currently having one of its best moments, with great sales successes in video games like Sonic: Frontiers, an open-world title that, although it divided players, mostly received positive reviews, which led to it selling quite well at the time.

Sonic is also achieving great success in movies, especially with the third film, so it’s no surprise that SEGA quickly confirmed the fourth installment, which already has a release window set for 2027 and has already released the first teaser trailer on YouTube, confirming the return of Shadow and Doctor Robotnik.

Lately, we’ve seen SEGA successfully put the blue hedgehog back on track in the video game market, and we hope it stays that way in both games and movies, which we’ll be keeping a close eye on.
