It seems that the exclusivity of Silent Hill 2 Remake may be coming to an end. The latest update on the official website of Bloober Team, the studio behind the highly anticipated remake of Konami’s psychological horror classic, has raised suspicions among fans by showing two new empty platform spaces alongside the already known PlayStation 5 and PC.
The detail, although subtle, has set off all the alarms in the community, especially since it’s often the first sign before a multi-platform announcement. Rumors point to these new platforms being Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2, which would fit with the usual temporary exclusivity agreements between Sony and Konami.
Silent Hill 2 Remake could be coming to Xbox Series soon
If confirmed, Silent Hill 2 Remake would arrive on Xbox Series over a year after its initial release on PS5 and PC, following a similar strategy to other games with temporary exclusivity. Additionally, the possible mention of Switch 2 gains strength, given that Konami has already expressed interest in bringing its main franchises to Nintendo’s new hybrid console.
Bloober Team has not made any official comments, but the website modification has not gone unnoticed. The page clearly shows two empty spaces for additional platforms, a recent change detected by users on Reddit and specialized forums.
Meanwhile, the Polish studio remains focused on the final touches before the game’s release on PS5 and PC, which promises to be a faithful and modern reinterpretation of the 2001 classic, with a revamped combat system, third-person cameras, and a more immersive atmosphere thanks to Unreal Engine 5.
