Although it won’t be part of this year’s Gamescom, Jurassic Park: Survival has returned to the spotlight today thanks to a new behind-the-scenes video that lets us learn more about its development. The game will take us back to Isla Nublar in a story set just one day after the events of the 1993 original film, with a single-player experience focused on exploration, stealth, and encounters with dinosaurs.
Developed by Saber Interactive in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, the title aims to offer the ultimate immersive experience for fans of the saga, recreating the park’s most iconic scenarios in detail, as well as adding new locations that expand the Jurassic mythology.
A journey to Isla Nublar like never before
In Jurassic Park: Survival, we’ll play as Dr. Maya Joshi (played by actress Payal Mistry), an InGen scientist who’s been trapped on the island. The gameplay will combine first-person stealth, exploration, and action, with intense encounters against prehistoric predators that will react realistically thanks to animations and behaviors inspired by the original film.
Among its most important features:
-
Explore Isla Nublar: from the park gates to the Visitor Center and unseen areas, with fauna and dinosaurs that react to their environment.
-
Evasive iconic predators: use distractions, cover, and ingenuity to survive encounters with some of the most lethal creatures to have existed.
-
Survive in a hostile environment: manage resources, improvise solutions, and face natural dangers and surprises in every corner of the island.
Although it doesn’t have a release date yet, Jurassic Park: Survival is in development for PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5, and promises to be the most faithful and ambitious recreation of Isla Nublar to date.
