Halo Studios confirms it will not reissue the Collector’s Edition of Halo: Campaign Evolved

The enormous interest generated by Halo: Campaign Evolved has caused its collector’s edition to quickly disappear from stores. Amidst the doubts of many fans and accusations of possible bulk purchases for resale, Halo Studios has sought to clarify the situation through an official update in their FAQ section.

The studio’s response leaves little room for hope for those who missed out on a unit, as the company acknowledges that demand has far exceeded initial expectations.

Halo Studios has no plans to manufacture more units of the Collector’s Edition

According to Halo Studios, the Collector’s Edition was conceived from the start as a limited edition and, due to the success of pre-orders, is now officially sold out. Additionally, the studio states that there are no plans to restock.

In the same statement, the company also addresses the suspicions of unit hoarding by resellers. After reviewing orders with their business partners, Halo Studios claims that no evidence of organized bulk resale activity has been found.

The company acknowledges that a small number of suspicious orders were detected, but those cases were canceled and the corresponding units were put back on sale. Similarly, they remind that some pre-orders may be canceled by the buyers themselves over the next few weeks, so a few units may still become available at certain stores.

The anticipation surrounding Halo: Campaign Evolved remains huge, and the success of the collector’s edition seems to have even surpassed Halo Studios’ expectations. For those who didn’t manage to get one, the only hope now lies in possible last-minute cancellations or keeping an eye on availability at official distributors.
