Console players call to limit cross-play in Battlefield 6: “It’s not fair to compete against PC

Since its release, Battlefield 6 has opted for a more inclusive approach with crossplay enabled by default, but not all players are happy with this decision. In recent hours, numerous Xbox and PS5 users have expressed their discontent with what they consider an obvious imbalance against PC players, especially in competitive modes like the new Battle Royale.

The problem arises when console players disable crossplay, as matches are filled with bots or are left empty, especially on European servers and during nighttime hours. This leaves users with two unsatisfying options: playing against teams full of mouse and keyboard players, or accepting matches against artificial intelligence.

The community agrees that the biggest problem is not crossplay itself, but the lack of more specific filters. Many are calling for a system that allows an exclusive mode between consoles, leaving crossplay with PC as a separate option for those who want it or use external peripherals.

Although some players argue that the difference between controllers and mice depends more on skill than hardware, most consider that in Battlefield 6 the aim assist does not compensate for the precision of the mouse, resulting in uneven matches.

The most repeated proposal among fans is clear: keep crossplay between PS5 and Xbox Series, but not with PC, unless the player chooses it manually. For now, EA has not commented on whether it plans to adjust the matchmaking system, although the debate about crossplay balance in shooters is more alive than ever.
