The first players of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced have started to detect some technical issues that can seriously affect the gaming experience. One of the most important ones discovered so far is related to a side mission, and under certain circumstances, it can block the game’s progress.
Although Ubisoft has already confirmed that they are aware of the issue, there is no definitive solution yet, so it’s a good idea to take some precautions until the corresponding update arrives.
The error can prevent continuing the story
The bug affects the Templar Hunt missions. According to journalist Stephen Totilo, the problem can occur if the player leaves these missions incomplete to continue exploring the world or advancing in other activities.
In the described case, after leaving the Kingston area and completing several side missions in other regions, when returning to continue the main story, the main and secondary missions conflicted. As a result, the progression was blocked, and it was necessary to load a previous save, losing around five hours of gameplay.
Ubisoft has already acknowledged the existence of this error and has confirmed that it will be fixed through a upcoming patch, although they have not yet provided a release date. In the meantime, the recommendation to avoid this problem is to complete the Templar Hunt missions before moving too far away from that content line or, directly, to leave them on hold until the update is available.
If you’re enjoying Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, it may be a good idea to make manual saves frequently, especially before leaving important areas of the map, to minimize the risk of losing several hours of progress in case you encounter this bug.
