Bethesda isn’t done with Starfield just yet. Despite the game already receiving multiple updates and additional content since its launch, the studio has confirmed that development is still ongoing and there are plans to continue expanding the game’s universe.
The information comes from Timothy Lamb, the game’s creative director, who has recently explained that the team is still working on new ideas for the space RPG. Although no specific content has been announced yet, his words make it clear that the game’s support is far from over.
Bethesda assures that Starfield‘s future is still open
During his statements, Lamb explained that there are still many stories and concepts that the team wants to explore within the game’s universe. The director acknowledged that there are no concrete announcements to share at the moment, but made it clear that the studio is still committed to the project.
According to his words, the team has many exciting ideas that have not been developed yet, which opens the door to new updates or content in the future.
- These statements align with the approach Bethesda usually takes with its major RPGs, which typically receive long-term support with patches, improvements, and additional content for years after their release.
Additionally, a major free update for the game has recently been announced, along with additional content that will expand some of its mechanics and systems. Everything points to Bethesda wanting to continue expanding the Starfield universe and keeping it active within the Xbox and PC ecosystem for a long time.
