We’ve just reached the midpoint of December, and with it, the countdown to bid farewell to 2025, a year that has been incredibly eventful in the video game industry, leaving us with incredible gems like Hollow Knight: Silksong and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a turn-based RPG with an absolutely incredible aspect that has taken the GOTY award this year.
We’ve already exhausted the major releases, so we can relax until the powerful launches resume in 2026, a year that promises to be even crazier, with some games already confirmed, including Marathon as one of the most recent cases.
Marathon Prepares for Launch in 2026
This game was initially scheduled to launch in September of this year, but after considering the community’s feedback and the state it was in, Bungie decided to delay it indefinitely until further notice, although it was already hinted that it would arrive in 2026.
It seems that Marathon is now ready to return to the gaming scene, and the developers have wanted to showcase in detail, in a new and extensive gameplay on YouTube, the changes they’ve added, the improvements that have been applied, and some of the lore and the world in which this new sci-fi title takes place. They also confirm that its launch will take place in March, although they haven’t confirmed the exact date yet.
Bungie seems to have gotten its act together, and Marathon looks better than the last time we saw it in action, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for any news that’s confirmed ahead of its launch next March.
