We’re moving forward in 2026, a year that promises to be one of the greatest and most intense in the video game industry, with a good number of important releases scheduled throughout the months, and we’ve already had some recently, such as Marathon or Resident Evil: Requiem.
We’re also looking forward to seeing a wave of new content for titles that have been on the market for a while and are expected to remain very much alive in the coming months, thanks to new updates packed with novelties, with Avowed being one of the best examples.
Avowed Continues to Add Bug Fixes
Certainly, Obsidian is giving it their all with their current projects, such as Grounded 2, which has also recently received an update.
Although Avowed received patch 2.0 last month, that hasn’t stopped the developers from continuing to work on improving the experience and fixing important bugs, which has happened with the new update now available that focuses on fixing several persistent bugs.
- A problem that caused the player to get stuck leaning to the right in third-person mode has been fixed.
- An error that caused a freeze when entering combat with a Skeleton Barbarian has been corrected.
- An error that caused a failure when starting photo mode near a Xaurip Elder has been corrected.
- A problem where companions didn’t look at the Envoy during conversations in the group camp between regions has been fixed.
- A problem where changing equipment removed the reduction of the reuse time of grimoire abilities when launched from the quick access bar has been fixed.
- Now, grimoire and quick access bar abilities have independent reuse times depending on how they were used.
- A problem where frame rate limits were incorrectly disabled when DLSS-FG was enabled has been fixed.
- A problem where XeSS frame generation didn’t work correctly has been fixed.
- The issue that prevented the “Explore Photos” option from working in Photo Mode has been fixed.
- A problem where certain decals didn’t appear until the game was restarted has been fixed.
- A problem where the Obsidian Collection Yatzli outfit didn’t appear for players who had the right to the Premium Update has been fixed.
- A problem where certain terrain shaders were initially displayed incorrectly after clearing the shader cache has been fixed.
- The “You can’t change character” line during character creation confirmation has been removed.
- The amount of companion skill points has been limited to the maximum that can be purchased, 16, to avoid notifications of unused additional points in New Game+.
- A problem where reassigning certain buttons prevented the user from closing tutorial pop-ups has been fixed.
- A problem where characters sometimes stretched during the ragdoll effect has been fixed.
Avowed has had a second start with its anniversary update and its arrival on PS5, so we hope that Obsidian Entertainment will continue to add new features and improvements via patches in the near future, which we’ll be keeping an eye on.
