The free update for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is now available on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC, and it brings two highly anticipated features to the community. The first introduces a new way to explore Pandora, allowing players to switch perspectives during gameplay. The second adds an option designed for those who want to replay the adventure with an extra layer of challenge and progression.
Both features come with adjustments to animations, controls, and cameras, the result of a deep effort by the studio to make the transition smooth and natural. The goal is for each player to decide how they want to experience the game at any given moment.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora adds third-person camera and New Game+ mode
- The patch allows players to switch to third-person view, making it possible to see the character and all their equipment in real-time. By default, the game is still in first-person, but now players can simply hold down a button to switch between the two views. The change is immediate and can be used at any time during gameplay.
- The update also adds New Game+, a mode that allows players to start the game again while keeping their inventory and skills. In exchange, enemies become more resistant, and a new skill tree is activated, along with access to more powerful equipment. In this mode, the map is fully revealed from the start.
New Game+ is unlocked after completing the main story and only applies to the base game, excluding the expansions The Sky Breaker and Secrets of the Spires.
The patch builds upon previous improvements, such as the revamped hunter’s guide, the filter for undiscovered objects, combat adjustments, and the more stable 40 FPS mode, further reinforcing the game’s constant evolution since its release.
