It seems that next week could be the definitive one for the future of Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision. Next Monday, we should know the verdict of the judge, either in favor of or against the FTC. If the judge rules against the FTC, Microsoft could close the deal before July 18th.
If the judge rules in favor of the FTC, we would see the following steps taken by Microsoft, although there is a possibility that the acquisition could be dismissed. What is certain, however, is that if the judge Jacqueline Scott Corley rules in favor of Microsoft on Monday, the acquisition will go through, and what happened in the UK with the CMA will become secondary.
