While fans wait for Rockstar Games to release the highly anticipated third trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, the community continues to analyze every detail of the official cover art presented a few days ago. And there’s one element that has caught the attention of many players.
It’s the large alligator that appears in the foreground. Far from being a simple nod to the Florida-inspired environment, some believe that Rockstar might be leaving hints about one of the mechanics that will have more prominence in this new installment.
The alligator on the GTA 6 cover sparks theories about the fauna of Leonida
The presence of the reptile doesn’t seem like a casual choice. Leonida will feature vast swamp areas and diverse ecosystems where, in addition to alligators, flamingos, exotic birds, and other animals have been seen in previous promotional images. Therefore, some players think that Rockstar might have developed a very advanced fauna system, following the line of what was seen in Red Dead Redemption 2.
The most widespread theories point to the possible presence of hunting-related activities, more complex interactions with animals, and even some kind of collection or customization system associated with them. Others believe that alligators could be part of specific missions or become one of the characteristic elements of the Vice City ambiance and its surroundings.
Of course, all of this is speculation, and Rockstar hasn’t confirmed any of these features. However, the company is known for paying close attention to every detail in their promotional images, so it wouldn’t be surprising if some elements of the cover art hide more information than meets the eye.
With pre-orders set to open on June 25th, many players hope that Rockstar will accompany that moment with new images or even the long-awaited third trailer, which could resolve some of the doubts still surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI.
