Few issues have sparked as much debate around GTA 6 as its possible price. Over the past few months, all sorts of theories have circulated about a significant increase compared to other industry releases, fueling the idea that Rockstar could break the barrier of usual prices.
However, Take-Two Interactive has sought to put an end to these speculations. Its CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has offered new details about the game’s commercial strategy and has made it clear what the company’s policy will be.
GTA 6 will maintain a price similar to that of current major releases
According to Zelnick’s statements, Grand Theft Auto VI will move within the usual market range, situated between $70 and $80, a figure aligned with most high-budget productions released in recent years. With these words, the company distances itself from some rumors that pointed to a much higher price and confirms that the game will follow the trend set by other AAA titles of the new generation.
The head of Take-Two also took the opportunity to respond to another issue that had caused concern among fans. GTA 6 will not include integrated advertising within the gaming experience, thus dismissing one of the monetization models that had been most speculated about in recent times.
- The information helps to clarify two of the most important unknowns surrounding the release of the new Rockstar game, although there are still details to be known about possible special editions or additional content.
With its arrival already set and unchanged for November 2026, Grand Theft Auto VI continues to shape up as one of the most important events in the video game industry, even managing to get no other game to use November as its release month. And, at least with regard to its price, Take-Two has sought to convey a clear message: it will not be more expensive than other current major releases.
