One of the major absentees from the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 was Marvel’s Blade. The game from Arkane Studios and Bethesda, announced several years ago, did not appear during the presentation, which was enough to make part of the community wonder if something was going wrong with its development.
However, one of the most well-known voices in the Xbox ecosystem has quickly sought to alleviate concerns. Jeff Grubb, a journalist from Giant Bomb, has assured that the project is still alive and that there are no problems with its development.
Jeff Grubb Denies Rumors About Marvel’s Blade
After the event, speculation began to circulate about a possible complicated situation for the game due to its absence from the Showcase. Grubb himself acknowledged that he was initially speculating, but later clarified the situation after checking new information.
There are no problems with development. I was just speculating. I’ve checked since then. It seems there are reasons we haven’t seen it, but those reasons aren’t because there are problems with the game. It’s not dead.
These statements come at a time when Xbox is reorganizing part of its communication strategy, even announcing that platforms and some game details will be revealed when projects are closer to launch.
For now, Bethesda and Arkane Studios have not shared new images or additional information about Marvel’s Blade, but Jeff Grubb’s words serve to reassure fans who feared a more complicated scenario.
Lacking official news, everything suggests that the project continues its development normally and that its absence from the Xbox Games Showcase is due to an internal planning decision, not production problems.
Whoa. No. I was just speculating here. I’ve checked since. Sounds like there are reasons we haven’t seen it, but those reasons are not because there are problems with the game. Not dead. https://t.co/9qmVvPVbXF
