Shift Up has made some statements that are generating a lot of buzz among Xbox players. During the presentation of their first-quarter financial results for 2026, the studio stated that they want to “reach a broad global audience from day one“, in addition to confirming that they are “actively exploring further expansion to other platforms” for their first major game.
Although the studio did not directly mention Xbox, the words have been enough for many to interpret that the arrival of their first title on Xbox consoles could be closer than expected.
Shift Up reopens the door to Xbox with Stellar Blade
The statements come at a time when Shift Up is rapidly growing after the international success of Stellar Blade. The South Korean studio had already dropped hints about possible additional releases outside of their initial ecosystem, but now they seem to be reinforcing that intention even more.
The phrase about “reaching a broad global audience from day one” also fits with a much more open strategy for future projects, something that could directly benefit Xbox and PC in terms of upcoming releases.
For now, there is no official announcement related to Xbox versions, but the studio’s insistence on talking about multi-platform expansion is starting to seriously fuel expectations around a possible future arrival. With Xbox also strengthening its relationships with Asian studios in recent years, the possibility no longer seems as distant as it did in the past.
