With the start of May, bad news also arrives for some Xbox players. There are already several games confirmed that will disappear from the Xbox Store in the coming weeks, meaning they will no longer be available for digital purchase.
Although this type of removal does not always affect access if you already have the game in your library, it is essential to know the dates to avoid missing the opportunity to buy them before they disappear. Additionally, in some cases, there are also significant changes related to online servers or game versions.
Games that will disappear from the Xbox Store in May and June
These are the confirmed titles so far:
- Pinball FX3 — early May
An earlier version of the saga that has already been replaced by newer releases within the Xbox ecosystem. - Battlefield Hardline — May 22
The Electronic Arts shooter will be removed from the store and later lose its online functions, leaving it limited to its single-player campaign. - Horizon Chase Turbo — June 1
The original version will be eliminated, although there is a possibility that it will remain available through new editions or packs recently released. - Rec Room — June 1
As it is a game completely focused on online multiplayer, its removal implies the closure of servers and the end of the experience.
Other changes and content to keep in mind on Xbox
In addition to these four games, there are also other significant movements within the Xbox store in the coming weeks. For example, some additional content from PowerWash Simulator will no longer be available on May 19, while The Outer Worlds will have changes in its availability on May 27. In the latter case, players who already have the game will be able to receive the Spacer’s Choice Edition on Xbox Series at no additional cost.
The sudden removal of Cars 3: Driven to Win has also been detected, a case that demonstrates that not all games warn before disappearing from the store. This type of movement is common in the industry due to licensing, agreements, or commercial decisions, but serves as a reminder that some games can disappear at any time without prior notice.
