Techland has taken a significant step forward with Dying Light: The Beast, which as of today, March 26th, receives one of its most ambitious updates to date. Alongside this content, the new Restored Land Edition also arrives, designed to offer the most complete gaming experience in a single package.

This is no ordinary patch. This update introduces a completely different way of playing, with changes that directly impact survival, resources, and exploration. Everything points to a much more demanding experience, tailored for those seeking something different within the game itself.

Restored Land completely changes the way you play Dying Light: The Beast

The major addition is the Restored Land mode, a solo experience where every decision matters. Here, defeated enemies do not respawn and resources do not replenish, forcing you to plan each step carefully. Additionally, supplies are scarcer, stores have less stock, and prices rise, significantly increasing tension.

The One Life option is also introduced, adding an extra layer of difficulty: if you die, the game is deleted entirely. Overcoming this mode unlocks special rewards, making it a challenge designed for more experienced players.

Beyond this, the update includes a significant amount of additional content:

• 33 new mission encounters
• New finishing moves and combat improvements
• Roadkill Rallies, vehicle challenges in the open world
• Global and friend-based leaderboards
• New achievements, hidden caches, and high-risk events

One of the most interesting changes is how the map evolves. As you eliminate the infection, areas come back to life gradually, with survivors returning and resuming their activities, providing a clear sense of progress.
