In recent weeks, rumors have resurfaced about a possible new expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Although CD Projekt RED has not officially announced any additional DLC, several sources and insiders claim that the studio is preparing a surprise content for 2026.

The debate has intensified after the company’s latest financial report, which mentions scheduled releases for that year despite no new main games being planned. Some interpret this reference as a possible hint about additional content for the RPG starring Geralt.

However, the latest rumors point to an expansion of Velen, expanding existing areas with new points of interest, dungeons, and unprecedented missions. This option would allow for reduced development costs by reusing part of the original map.
