With the release of Resident Evil Requiem just around the corner, many players are asking themselves the same question: what exact moment does it take place in the saga’s timeline? The answer is clear and marks an important point in the Capcom universe.

The story takes place in 2026, exactly 28 years after the missile attack on Raccoon City at the end of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. This makes it the most chronologically advanced episode in the main games, surpassing the events seen in Resident Evil 7 (2017) and Resident Evil Village (2021).
