As we were getting close to its release, Mouse P.I. For Hire has confirmed a new delay. The quirky FPS with a 1930s animation aesthetic won’t arrive on the initially scheduled date and will be pushed back a few weeks.
The announcement was made through the studio’s official channels, which explained that they need a bit more time to polish the project before its final release.
Mouse P.I. For Hire will launch on April 16, 2026
Fumi Games has confirmed that the new release date will be April 16, 2026. The original launch was scheduled for March 19, 2026, so we’re talking about a delay of almost a month. This isn’t the first time the title has been moved on the calendar, as it was initially planned for late 2025.
The team assures that they want to use these extra weeks to finalize details and ensure that the final experience meets their standards. No specific issues have been mentioned, beyond the need to improve and fine-tune the game before its release.
Mouse P.I. For Hire has been turning heads since its presentation due to its combination of classic first-person action and a black-and-white animation aesthetic reminiscent of 1930s cartoons. Now, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to step into the shoes of the mouse detective and explore his noir-inspired city.
