Microsoft continues polishing the Xbox experience on PC and is preparing a new feature focused on achievements. Members of Xbox Insiders enrolled in the PC Gaming Preview can already try out the so-called Post-Game Summaries, a feature that will display a quick summary of each session when closing a game.
This is not a complete redesign of the achievement system, but rather an improvement designed for those who enjoy tracking their progress. The idea is to provide a clear and visual overview of what was achieved during the session without having to navigate through additional menus.
The Xbox app for PC will display achievements and statistics after finishing a game
According to Microsoft, these summaries will include data such as:
-
Unlocked achievements
-
Gamerscore earned
-
Relevant events within the game
-
Captures made
-
Total playtime in the session
Additionally, they can be shared directly with friends from the Xbox app itself. The feature is designed to appear only when it makes sense, for example, when unlocking an achievement or making a capture with the Game Bar, avoiding unnecessary displays after each game.
- Microsoft has also indicated that the app can run in the background to generate these summaries when exiting the game, although it claims to have optimized memory consumption and performance. For those who are not interested, the option can be easily disabled from the settings menu.
With this move, the company continues to strengthen the Xbox ecosystem on PC, betting on a more integrated experience and focused on tracking each player’s progress.
