David Jaffe is once again at the center of controversy. The original creator of God of War has responded harshly to certain sectors of the PlayStation community after receiving criticism for his recent comments about the brand and certain releases.
In recent years, Jaffe has adopted a very active profile as a content creator, sharing his unfiltered opinions about the industry. His statements have sparked constant debate, especially when it comes to the franchise he helped found.
The creator of God of War lashes out at some PlayStation fans
David Jaffe, responsible for the first God of War, has stated that his recent criticism is not born out of resentment towards Sony or Santa Monica Studio. In fact, he has publicly acknowledged that he values the direction the franchise has taken in its Norse era, including God of War Ragnarök.
However, he has also expressed his displeasure with part of the PlayStation 5 community, which accuses him of attacking the franchise for not being part of its current development. In his interventions, Jaffe has insisted that he does not miss producing video games due to the pressure involved, and that he feels more comfortable in his current role as a streamer, where he discusses both video games and other topics.
