The third installment of Square Enix’s ambitious project is much further along than many imagined. After months of silence, the development team has confirmed that the bulk of the development is practically complete and that the game is now fully playable from start to finish.
This means that the conclusion of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy has entered its decisive phase. With the main content finished, the studio is now focused on final technical and balance adjustments before sharing more information with the public.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 is now playable from start to finish
Director Naoki Hamaguchi has explained that the project is progressing smoothly and that the team is in the final polishing phase. According to his words, the title is “almost perfectly aligned” with the calendar planned since the beginning of development.
Currently, the work is focused on optimization, bug fixing, and improving the overall experience. Hamaguchi has also pointed out that each new internal test shows clear progress in quality, suggesting that the final product is already very close to its definitive form.
With these statements on the table, everything suggests that the official announcement may not be too far away. The final title of this third installment and, above all, its release date remain to be revealed. If the game is already in an advanced polishing phase, it wouldn’t be surprising if Square Enix prepares a presentation in the coming months.
