Xbox continues to fine-tune its digital store, and although it’s not always apparent, some games officially announced, for example, at The Game Awards, are already available to add to your wishlist, even if they don’t appear in the “Coming Soon” section. This has started to grab the attention of the community after it was discovered that several recently showcased titles can be manually located from the Store.
This situation has caused some confusion among players, as many assume that if a game doesn’t appear highlighted in the corresponding section, it’s not yet listed in the system. However, the reality is different, and many of these games can be searched for and added.
The Xbox Store allows you to add newly announced games by searching for their name
As shown in several screenshots shared by users, titles like Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, Control Resonant, Exodus, or Ontos can already be added to your wishlist simply by using the Xbox Store’s search function. They don’t appear as “Coming Soon,” but they do have active pages, accessible through direct search.
This confirms that Xbox often activates game pages before publicly highlighting them, which is common when there’s no fixed release date, playable trailer, or complete information. In some cases, even within the same announcement, one game appears available while another doesn’t, reinforcing the idea that the process isn’t always uniform.
If a game has been announced and you can’t find it in “Coming Soon,” it’s worth searching for it manually. It might already be available to follow, receive notifications, and have it located from day one, even if its release is still a long way off.
