The latest update of the controversial MindsEye comes with an unexpected move: now anyone can try the game without paying a single euro. Following several criticisms during its launch, the developers have decided to open the door to new players with a free starter pack that expands the possibilities for those who are still unsure if the game is right for them.
This trial comes along with Update 6, which incorporates adjustments focused on improving gameplay. The goal is for both new players and those who left the game in its early weeks to find a more polished experience with more content.
The MindsEye Starter Pack offers campaign and 14 ARCADIA missions
The Free Starter Pack for MindsEye includes access to one of the main campaign missions (the one dedicated to Robin Hood) and a total of 14 ARCADIA missions, the game’s most arcade-like mode. Additionally, the studio has confirmed that this pack will receive periodic updates with new ways to play, which means it won’t be a static demo.
To access the trial on Xbox, simply search for MindsEye in the Xbox Store and press the “Free Trial” button available on the game’s official page:
This free version is also available on other platforms, so those who prefer to play on PC or other consoles can do so without limitations. It’s an interesting opportunity to get to know the game firsthand and decide if it’s worth continuing with the full experience.
