Battlefield 6 has exceeded all expectations and is now officially the largest launch in the franchise’s history, as confirmed by Electronic Arts. The title, developed by Battlefield Studios, has broken series records in both sales and active player numbers, solidifying its position as one of the biggest game launches of the year.
According to data shared by EA, Battlefield 6 has sold over 7 million copies in its first few days, with numbers continuing to grow. During its launch weekend, over 172 million online matches were recorded, in addition to 15 million hours streamed on platforms. These figures far surpass those of previous installments, such as Battlefield 3 or Battlefield 1.
Battlefield 6 Marks a New Milestone for Electronic Arts
The success comes as no surprise, given the game’s open beta in August reached historic participation highs. Now, with the final version available on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam, EA App, and Epic Games Store), the community has responded in massive numbers.
EA and Battlefield Studios have thanked players for their support, describing the launch as “a new era for the franchise and one of the most comprehensive war experiences ever created“.
With a growing user base, record-breaking viewership, and overwhelming global reception, Battlefield 6 confirms its position as the biggest phenomenon in the series and one of the most significant launches of 2025.
