Microsoft is fine-tuning the console experience with the new system update for Xbox Series and Xbox One that arrived at the end of the month, focused on simplifying the management of offers, cards, and social settings. These new features come as part of the October update and aim to make daily life more fluid, unifying tools and improving interface personalization. We’ve wanted to explain point by point the improvements that directly affect Xbox consoles.
Among the most notable features is Offer Wallet, a new option that centralizes all promotions, gift cards, and codes in one place, eliminating the need to enter them manually. Additionally, new customizable dynamic backgrounds have been added, and compatibility with future system updates has been expanded.
Offer Wallet: Your New Digital Wallet on Xbox
The Offer Wallet (or “offer wallet”) is the star of the update. This new feature is integrated directly into the Xbox profile and brings together all active promotions, codes, and gift cards linked to your account.
In this way, you will no longer need to manually enter codes for redemption or search for active promotions in different menus: everything is centralized in a single space accessible from the console or mobile app. Additionally, the feature syncs with the Xbox Store, showing personalized offers based on your games or active subscriptions, making it easier to track discounts and rewards.
More Personalization and Ecosystem Improvements
The update also introduces new dynamic backgrounds, which allow you to personalize the home screen with animated themes. These backgrounds are inspired by Xbox’s most popular games and can be alternated from the settings menu.
- On the other hand, Microsoft has included expanded compatibility that prepares the system for future integrations with accessories, backward compatibility, and social features. This includes quick access to invite friends, manage groups, or share clips in a more immediate way, anticipating the improvements that will arrive in future system versions.
With these features, Xbox continues to strengthen its unified ecosystem, offering a more consistent experience between console, PC, and Cloud. The improvements are already available on all Xbox Series and Xbox One systems and will be downloaded automatically as part of the latest update.
