Konami has confirmed that Silent Hill f has surpassed one million units sold worldwide just days after its release. Launched on September 25 for Xbox Series, PS5, and PC, the game is already positioning itself as one of the biggest successes of the franchise in recent years.
The most striking thing is that its sales pace is even higher than that of Silent Hill 2 Remake, which reached the same figure in a week. This time, the new proposal set in Japan is recording even greater growth, with a particularly strong reception in the local market and in major international regions.
A Silent Hill set in Japan with a luxury team
The story of Silent Hill f puts us in the shoes of Hinako Shimizu, a student who must survive in a fog-covered town and face a transformation as unsettling as it is terrifying. The creative direction was led by Ryukishi07, known for his work on visual horror novels, while the creature design is signed by kera. The music combines the unmistakable themes of Akira Yamaoka with the contribution of Kensuke Inage, creating a sound atmosphere that enhances the experience.
The result is a survival horror game that mixes Japanese landscapes in 4K, an oppressive atmosphere, and decisions that mark the fate of the protagonist. Konami defines this installment as a step forward for the franchise, under the slogan that “beauty can also be terrifying“.
With this initial reception, everything suggests that Silent Hill f will continue to increase its player base in the coming weeks, consolidating itself as the great rebirth of the saga.
