The Tokyo Game Show 2025 kicked off with a bang thanks to the Capcom Online Program, a digital event where the Japanese company outlined its immediate future and left several surprises for fans. From futuristic sci-fi to revived classics, the presentation touched on several of its most beloved franchises.
Among the highlights, we got a new look at Pragmata, confirmation of retro collections for MegaMan, and a long-awaited return for the Onimusha saga. This was complemented by significant updates on already-released games like Street Fighter 6, Monster Hunter, and Phoenix Wright.
Pragmata: New Gameplay
- Capcom once again showcased Pragmata, its mysterious sci-fi adventure. In the new gameplay, the protagonist and the android Diana combine powerful attacks with hacking abilities to overcome threats in a hostile world. It’s set to arrive in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
MegaMan Starforce Legacy Collection
- Fans of the iconic blue hero are in for a treat: in 2026, we’ll see the MegaMan Starforce Legacy Collection, which will include the entire saga, from MegaMan Pegasus to Red Joker, with a total of seven games. It will be available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch.
Onimusha Way of the Sword
- The samurai and demon saga lives on. Capcom showed a new trailer for Onimusha Way of the Sword, focusing on the protagonist Musashi and other secondary characters who will join his adventure. A return that confirms the franchise still has a key place in the company’s strategy.
