During Gamescom 2025, Square Enix and Xbox detailed the arrival of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Xbox Series consoles. The title, considered the most complete edition of the remake, will be released this winter and will feature Xbox Play Anywhere support, allowing players to enjoy it on both console and PC, as well as on portable devices like ROG Ally and ROG Ally X.
The announcement featured Naoki Hamaguchi, director of the Remake series, who highlighted how Xbox will be one of the platforms where players can experience the “definitive Final Fantasy VII experience”. With this, the company reinforces the presence of the saga in the Xbox ecosystem after years of absence in major franchise releases.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Xbox
The version coming to Xbox will be the most complete to date, including graphical improvements, the additional INTERmission episode starring Yuffie, performance and quality modes, and all the optimizations released on other platforms.
Thanks to Xbox Play Anywhere, users will be able to purchase the game once and play it on both console and PC, sharing progress, achievements, and saved games on both platforms. Additionally, compatibility with Xbox Cloud Gaming will allow players to take the adventure to any streaming-compatible device.

With this release, Xbox is settling a debt with JRPG fans, who have been waiting years for the arrival of one of Square Enix’s most important titles. This winter, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will mark a milestone by finally offering the complete experience of the revamped classic on Xbox Series.
