Black Myth: Wukong could be anticipating the announcement of its first DLC at Gamescom

Some images shared on social networks make us suspect that at Gamescom we could see the first images of the Black Myth: Wukong DLC at Gamescom.

On August 19, the Gamescom Opening Night Live will take place, where new and prominent announcements are expected. One of them could come from Game Science, who will be there to present some news about Black Myth: Wukong, which will be released for Xbox Series X/S on August 20.

Although it has not been officially confirmed, it is likely that the developer will take this opportunity to reveal the first DLC for the action role-playing game.

First DLC on the way?

In recent hours, the Game Science team has shared some illustrations on Twitter that show new characters, all with a menacing appearance that suggests they will be formidable enemies in the game.

These characters are not present in the base game, which has sparked curiosity among fans about how they will be integrated into the story. Although many details are still unknown, it is likely that these new additions will offer entertaining and challenging battles. The development of the DLC was announced in September 2024 by Daniel Wu, from Hero Games, who contributed significantly to the title’s budget. Considering the timing of the expected revelation, it is possible that the DLC will be released next year.
