Massive Entertainment has dropped a series of hints about a new project related to Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, sparking speculation among fans of the game. One of the latest teases suggests that the project could be set in a winter version of Washington, D.C., leading some to wonder if it’s a new DLC.
The developer has been tweeting about SHD scanners detecting “unusual activity” in the city, and has promised that more information will come during Gamescom.
Winter is coming to The Division 2
An image of a snow-covered city, along with the double meaning of the phrase “Stay frosty”, has led some to speculate about the possibility of the return of Survival mode, a popular feature in The Division 1.
Massive Entertainment has two panels scheduled for Gamescom, although the timings have not been revealed yet. The first will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the development of Battle for Brooklyn and discuss what’s next for the game’s seasons. The second panel, on the other hand, will focus on how player feedback is influencing game development and will reveal more details about a “big project” for The Division 2.
