Cronos: The New Dawn is getting closer, and Bloober Team has released a new episode of their video diary to delve deeper into the details of this unsettling survival horror. In it, the game’s developers explore the reasons behind humanity’s downfall, the true role of the traveler, and the appearance of a mysterious guardian that promises to spark a lot of conversation.
The story takes place in Nowa Huta, a district of Krakow that combines the industrial harshness of the 80s with a post-apocalyptic future. This contrast shapes a retro-futuristic world filled with tension, where science fiction and retro realism blend to offer an immersive and visually striking experience.
Cronos: The New Dawn arrives on September 5th
At the center of the plot is the traveler, a key piece in the fate of humanity, whom players will accompany in real-time during their perilous mission. The new video diary, narrated by producer Klaudia Sewera and lead designer Grzegorz Like, details aspects as unsettling as soul extraction, the selection of the chosen ones, and the true purpose of these enigmatic characters.
Additionally, the guardian is introduced, a traveler with a very different vision from the protagonist. Voiced by Alan Turkington, this character administers the tools and watches over the center where we’ll spend a significant part of the game, becoming a key figure in the gaming experience.
Cronos: The New Dawn will debut on September 5th on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC, and from what we’ve seen so far, it’s shaping up to be one of the most intriguing proposals in the genre in 2025.
