Independent games with the soul of a blockbuster continue to surprise, and ENDS is one of the projects that has garnered the most attention in recent years. This open-world RPG with hints of GTA, developed by a small British team, has already secured its release on Xbox, although it will first go through an early access phase on PC, and it also utilizes the Unreal Engine.

The title took its first steps in 2023 thanks to a Kickstarter campaign that raised a considerable amount of money, and since then it has been generating buzz, accumulating over 100,000 views with its first conceptual trailer. Now, its developers have published the first development diary, showcasing some combat scenes, the mobile system, movement, character design, and other key mechanics.

ENDS comes to PC first, but the Xbox version is on its way

Through the game’s official Discord, the studio has confirmed what many were expecting: ENDS will have a console version, including Xbox and PlayStation. However, early access will begin exclusively on PC, with an initial forecast for the first quarter of 2026. Although this date seems ambitious given the state of development shown, interest in the project continues to grow.

Although the team hasn’t given a specific release date for the Xbox version, everything points to it not arriving before 2027. Nonetheless, it’s great news to know that the game won’t be limited to PC, and we’ll be able to enjoy it on console later on.
