The radioactive threat of the Zone won’t be confined to just an ecosystem. After being confirmed as a temporary console exclusive on Xbox, the hostile and warped world of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will also make its way to another platform. GSC Game World has officially confirmed the game’s release for PS5.
The news comes with its own page on the PlayStation store, confirming that the version for Sony’s console is already in development. This doesn’t affect the initial launch that took place on Xbox Series X/S or its arrival on Xbox Game Pass, but it significantly expands the potential player base in the long term.
STALKER 2 to Launch on PS5 After Xbox Series Debut
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl presents itself as a unique experience that combines first-person action, survival, and horror elements, all set in an environment warped by physical anomalies, mutated creatures, and extreme moral decisions. Its proposal blends free exploration with immersive simulation, and puts the player in the role of a stalker who must make their way through the confines of the Exclusion Zone.
The temporary console exclusivity agreement has officially ended, and GSC Game World’s work is preparing to reach a new audience. The Zone is now bigger than ever.
