The Xbox Game Pass catalog for July continues to add interesting proposals, and one of the most notable is Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, the new action RPG that will arrive with direct access for all subscribers. It’s a title set in a historical era marked by chaos, and it bets on demanding gameplay inspired by classics like Sekiro or Lies of P.
Its proposal combines dark atmosphere, technical combat, and a focus on constant player learning. Behind the project is Leenzee Games, a Chinese studio that has managed to capture the public’s attention since its first trailer. Just a few days before its release, we review everything confirmed so far.
Main features of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers on Xbox
- Wuchang: Fallen Feathers takes place in the final era of the Ming dynasty, where society has been ravaged by the plague and the appearance of creatures infected by a supernatural plague. We play as Wuchang, a warrior who must face human and monstrous enemies while discovering the origin of her own curse: black feathers that sprout from her body and grant her special abilities.
- The combat system stands out for its slow pace, with a focus similar to that of the souls-like games, but with its own style that emphasizes stealth, counterattacks, and magical abilities. Several interchangeable weapons have been confirmed, each with specific movements and upgrade branches. There will also be moral decisions that will influence parts of the development, with multiple endings.
- The game uses the Unreal Engine 5 engine, with dynamic lighting and particle effects that reinforce the dark tone of the adventure. On Xbox Series, it will offer two graphic modes: one with higher visual fidelity and another focused on 60 FPS fluidity.
Release date on Game Pass
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers will arrive on Xbox Series and PC on July 24, 2025, and will be available from day one on Xbox Game Pass. Its release on Steam and PS5 has also been confirmed, although free access will be limited to Microsoft’s service subscribers.
This is one of the most anticipated titles of the month within the service, especially for fans of demanding action games with a dark atmosphere.
