Zenless Zone Zero version 2.2: date, characters and August 2025 code for Xbox Free To Play

HoYoverse has revealed the new features coming to Zenless Zone Zero with version 2.2, as well as a new August 2025 promotional code that players can already redeem for free rewards. As always, these gifts include Polychrome, coins, and upgrade materials, useful for continuing to progress in the game.

The currently active code is OBOLSQUAD, available to all users. It can be redeemed directly from the game itself or through the official website, and the rewards will appear in the player’s mailbox, ready to be claimed manually.

Zenless Zone Zero Update 2.2: Confirmed New Features

Version 2.2, titled Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night, will be released on September 4, 2025 and will introduce multiple character and content additions:

• Seed (Phase 1): new S-rank agent with electrical abilities and the use of a mech.

• Orphie (Phase 2): red-haired warrior with a cybernetic tail who fights with a knife.

• Trigger (Phase 1) and Evelyn (Phase 2) return in banner repetitions.

• New maps and expansion of the Bangboo tower defense mode.

• Special collaboration with Razer, with peripherals inspired by the character Miyabi (mouse, keyboard, mousepad, and chair).
