The transition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III to their new standalone versions has brought some significant changes. One of them directly affects achievements on Xbox, as many players may not see them reflected when opening the new direct access. But, fortunately, there’s a quick way to fix it.
If you’ve already unlocked achievements in the previous versions, integrated into the Call of Duty hub, you can make them sync automatically with the new standalone apps. Microsoft and Activision have enabled an option that allows it, without needing to repeat tasks or replay.
How to sync your MW2 and MW3 achievements on Xbox
The process is very simple and will only take a minute. Here are the exact steps to get your achievements back:
-
Open Call of Duty HQ and accept all the agreements presented to you.
-
Access Settings > Account and Network within the game menu.
-
Activate the “Sync Achievements” option.
-
Exit the hub and open the standalone version of MWII or MWIII.
From that moment on, the achievements you had already unlocked should be activated automatically in the game’s new tab.
You don’t need to download the campaign, multiplayer, or Warzone, just the base launcher. Additionally, if you have access to xCloud, you can perform the first steps directly from the cloud, without installing anything on your console. This feature is especially useful for those who want to keep their complete history without extra effort. However, keep in mind that only achievements you had already earned will be activated.
Will you recover yours or prefer to unlock them from scratch? Let us know in the comments how you’re progressing in Call of Duty.
