Over the past few days, the Xbox community has detected a problem that concerns many players: some purchased titles have stopped appearing in their libraries after their store pages were completely removed. This isn’t just about delisted games, but cases where the product page disappears entirely, preventing the console from recognizing its existence and blocking any attempt to download it.
- This behavior isn’t new and has been happening for months, but the situation has escalated again after the removal of several additional games, reigniting the debate about digital preservation and permanent access to purchased content.
According to conversations among those affected, the problem is often related to changes in compliance standards or outdated data on the game’s page, although many players insist that this shouldn’t affect those who have already paid for it.
Games removed from libraries and community petitions
Players have identified at least 13 games that, as of today, cannot be downloaded again despite being purchased. These include Oniria Crimes, Polychromatic, Miles & Kilo, Kid Tripp, Hamster on Rails, or Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign, the latter with an even stranger case: its online license has been revoked, even though it’s a title without online features, forcing players to play it offline if it’s installed.
In response to this situation, the community is asking Xbox to take several urgent measures: always keep store pages visible even if a game is no longer for sale, restore downloads for affected titles, improve communication with users and guarantee that any digital purchase will remain accessible indefinitely, regardless of internal changes or temporary removals.
