Xbox continues to expand its connections with other platforms, and now it’s GOG.com’s turn. As of today, players can log in to the CD Projekt RED store using their Xbox account, without needing to create additional profiles.
This move is not isolated: it’s part of Microsoft’s global strategy to unify the gaming experience on PC and console before the release of its highly anticipated handheld, the ROG Xbox Ally, scheduled for October 16, 2025.
What the integration between Xbox and GOG means
With this new development, Xbox users will be able to:
-
Log in directly to GOG with their Xbox account, without extra registrations.
-
Synchronize games and libraries more easily across compatible platforms.
-
Access iconic titles from CD Projekt RED, such as The Witcher 3 or Cyberpunk 2077, as well as future releases.
-
Centralize purchase and configuration management, eliminating the need for multiple credentials.
A unified gaming ecosystem ahead of the ROG Xbox Ally
- The arrival of this feature reinforces Microsoft’s strategy to create a single gaming hub on PC. In recent months, the Xbox app for Windows has added support for Steam, Epic Games Store, and now GOG, allowing players to bring together titles from different stores in one place.
This effort aims to ensure that, with the release of the ROG Xbox Ally, players will have their entire catalog integrated and accessible from a single portable device. The idea is that it won’t matter where the game was purchased – whether on Steam, Epic, GOG, or Xbox Store – it will be linked to the central library of the Xbox app, making it easy to access on both PC and cloud. One more step towards the most unified platform of all.
With this, Microsoft aims to offer the most complete experience in its history, where console, PC, cloud, and now handheld coexist under a single ecosystem.
