June 2025 has been the best month for hardware sales in the United States since records for that specific month have been kept. According to the latest data from Circana, total spending on consoles reached $978 million, which is 249% more than in June 2024. A figure that shatters the previous record, set in 2008 with $608 million.
In this context, Xbox Series has been the third console in revenue, behind Switch 2 and PS5, and fourth in units sold. Despite the more recent releases on other platforms, Microsoft’s console remains solid in an extremely competitive market, where Nintendo’s new hybrid console has broken all records.
