Xbox continues to introduce changes in the user experience of its consoles and is already testing several new features that will arrive soon for all players. For now, these innovations have begun to be tested within the Xbox Insider program, where users can experiment with new tools before their general release.
According to Microsoft, these improvements respond directly to community feedback and will be deployed progressively, first among more Insider users and later for all Xbox players in a future system update.
The upcoming improvements coming to Xbox
Among the most notable innovations are new customization options, changes to Quick Resume, and improvements to the system interface.
One of the most requested improvements has to do with the customization of the home screen. From now on, players will be able to create up to 10 groups on the start screen, instead of the current two. This will allow for much more flexible organization of games, applications, or collections.
- Additionally, managing these groups has also been simplified. Now reordering them will work the same way as moving games in the start menu, making it much easier to manage.
- Another important innovation comes with customizable colors for the Xbox interface. Until now, players were limited to the system’s predefined colors, but with this update, they will be able to create their own color using sliders to adjust the exact tone they prefer.
This color will also appear in various system elements, including the Guide menu, although users will be able to disable it if they prefer to maintain the classic look. Microsoft has confirmed that this feature will arrive for all players with the update planned for April.
Quick Resume and more
Changes are also being introduced to Quick Resume, one of the most popular features of Xbox Series. From now on, it will be possible to disable Quick Resume for specific games, something that many players had requested when certain titles did not work correctly after long periods in the background.
To do this, simply open the game options and access the new Quick Resume Settings section, from where you can control this behavior.
Finally, Xbox is also improving user profiles within the system. Players will be able to see the five most recent badges obtained by any profile directly from the Guide menu, making it easier to consult achievements and highlights of each user’s journey within the Xbox ecosystem.
All these innovations are already in the testing phase within the Xbox Insider program and will arrive gradually for the rest of the players in future system updates.
