Xbox launches its portables on October 16: arrival of Ally and Ally X in Europe confirmed

No more rumors or vague leaks: we finally have a concrete date for the release of the new Xbox portable consoles. After months of speculation and multiple registrations with international organizations, the information has been clarified thanks to Dealabs: the European release will be on October 16, 2025.

Both models, ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X, will arrive just in time for the final stretch of the year. This date has been verified by several sources in the Xbox environment in Europe, and although it has not been officially announced, everything points to it being confirmed at Gamescom 2025 during the special event that Xbox has planned to broadcast live on August 20 at 15:00 (Spanish mainland time) / 08:00 (Mexico City time).

Both consoles will arrive at major distribution chains, so it will not be necessary to buy them exclusively at the Microsoft Store, something that has already happened in the past with limited editions of controllers or consoles.

The announcement of their massive availability also puts an end to speculation about a possible initial shortage. Everything indicates that Xbox is betting heavily on this new format, with a large-scale initial production to meet demand.
