Following the Xbox conference at the Tokyo Game Show 2025, Sarah Bond, Xbox president, participated in a special episode of the Xbox Official Podcast, where she left a clear message: Asia is now the region with the highest growth for the brand.
This is no minor detail. Historically, Xbox had always struggled in this part of the world, with limited presence compared to other platforms. The company claims that the situation is changing significantly.
Xbox grows in Asia with more studios and releases
Bond highlighted that, in just the last year, over 300 Asian independent developers published their games on Xbox, and the company currently has agreements with around 500 studios in the region.

This push coincides with Xbox’s strategy to get closer to Japan and the rest of Asia, a market where there is still plenty of room for growth. The arrival of more local titles to Xbox Series and Xbox Game Pass will be key to consolidating this expansion, and the company seems determined to seize the opportunity.
