Kicking off a new year also means new ways to play, and Xbox has made it clear that its bet on cloud gaming is still growing. The company has confirmed a new alliance with V (formerly VIDAA) to bring the Xbox app to smart TVs from Hisense and models with V homeOS compatible throughout 2026.
This move reinforces Xbox’s strategy of reducing entry barriers, allowing access to its catalog without the need for a console or dedicated PC, directly from the TV.
Xbox Cloud Gaming arrives on Hisense Smart TVs
Thanks to this collaboration, the Xbox app will be available on a selection of Hisense TVs and models with V homeOS, allowing users to play via Xbox Cloud Gaming with just a compatible controller and internet connection.
Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential will have access to hundreds of streaming games, including recent releases and well-known titles from the catalog. Additionally, the service will allow playing certain already purchased games, further expanding options without relying on traditional hardware.
- Among the titles that Xbox highlights as part of the experience are proposals like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Hollow Knight: Silksong, or Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, although the list will be much broader.
Another step in the expansion of the Xbox ecosystem
Xbox insists that the goal is clear: games, progress, and community should always be within reach, regardless of the device. The arrival of the app on Hisense TVs is another step in that direction, adding to mobile devices, tablets, browsers, and other formats already compatible with cloud gaming.
- For now, the exact models of compatible TVs have not been detailed, nor the specific release date within 2026. Xbox has confirmed that it will share more information in the coming months through its official channels.
Everything points to cloud gaming continuing to gain weight this year, with Xbox reinforcing its idea that playing shouldn’t depend on where you are or the device you have at home.
