Xbox dominates the latest monthly report from Circana with a crushing presence in the top 5 best-selling games in the United States. According to data for May 2025, four of the top five spots belong to titles published by Microsoft, solidifying its strength in both consoles and PC.

The first place goes to Elden Ring: Nightreign by Bandai Namco, but Microsoft takes the second, third, fourth, and fifth place with Doom: The Dark Ages, Forza Horizon 5, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, respectively. It’s a clear demonstration that the multiplatform strategy is working and generating immediate benefits.

This boost comes hand-in-hand with the push of recent releases and highly anticipated remasters. The case of Doom: The Dark Ages, second on the list, confirms the interest in classic FPS reimagined under the Bethesda banner. Meanwhile, Forza Horizon 5 continues to be a constant success, and Oblivion Remastered has been received with force by both veterans and new players.

The big surprise for many may be seeing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 under the Xbox banner, but after the acquisition of Activision, its impact is starting to reflect in sales figures. Four of the five best-selling games in the US in May bear the Xbox seal. The competition, without a doubt, has taken notice.
