Xbox Design Lab is back: you can buy customized controllers from today

It’s been over six months since Xbox Design Lab closed its online store, leaving thousands of players with their designs on hold and no option to place orders. Since then, the service has only been active for designing or sharing models, but without the possibility of purchasing them. Today, finally, the system is fully operational again.

As of August 6, Xbox has reactivated purchases through the official Design Lab website, allowing players to order customized controllers with all available configuration levels. From colors for each component, special materials, or custom engravings, to sticks, triggers, and buttons with unique finishes, everything is available again as before.

The good news has arrived without warning, and without any official note on the Xbox blog, although the “purchases suspended” message has completely disappeared from the main page. This confirms that the delay, as pointed out since December, was related to the migration to a new payment platform, which has now been fully resolved. The service maintains its usual prices, although it is recommended to check shipping costs according to the region.
