The year has just begun, and we already have a promising list of things to come to Xbox in the following months. It’s true that we’re still wrapping up the celebrations of the old year, but this industry keeps moving forward.
That’s how the rhythm of releases seems to be non-stop, and what’s most important is that beyond a significant influx of games, the quality of these titles looks promising, and we’re not referring to just one saga or a particular company, but something more general.
The Most Promising Games Coming to Xbox in 2026
Now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived – getting to know the games that will surprise us in just a few months and will try to extend the streak of brutal titles we’ll receive this year. I know, there are still many more to be revealed, but for now, these are the most promising ones, and we’re sharing them with you from Generación Xbox.
With Confirmed Dates
REANIMAL – February 13
After what we got from Little Nightmares 3, we believe that this time we’re in for something more substantial and promising, from the same people behind the aforementioned game. It’s time to try out this new adventure with the pair of siblings.
Resident Evil Requiem – February 27
Leon S. Kennedy returns for what will supposedly be his last appearance, although that’s just a rumor. What’s important is that we have a new installment in the saga, and it looks brutal.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection – March 13
After so much time and without much hope, it seems that Capcom will give us a triumphant return to their most beloved saga within the Monster Hunter universe, with an impressive installment that will leave us dreaming about our adventures as Raiders.
PRAGMATA – April 24
This one looks promising, and I won’t deny it – it’s one of the games I’m most looking forward to this year. I feel sorry for GTA VI, but here we have a title that looks special and is a new IP at the same time.
Grand Theft Auto VI – November 19
Not much to say – it’s the most anticipated game of the year. Let’s hope it doesn’t suffer from another delay, although I wouldn’t be surprised if it did.
Without a Defined Date:
Forza Horizon 6 – No Date
A name that wants to make us experience the culture and world of Japan, without a doubt one of the most anticipated games by everyone, including myself. The Forza Horizon series is the best thing we’ve lived as players.
Gears of War: E-Day – No Date
More than a title, it’s one of the biggest names in the industry, which this time returns with an installment that will bet everything on glory.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis – No Date
The great heroine of all time returns with a remake of her first installment, and from what we’ve seen so far, it will be spectacular and wonderful.
Halo: Campaign Evolved – No Date
The FPS par excellence returns with a powerful and abysmal facelift, which will make us return to its magnificent world, now with all the technical prowess it deserves.
Control Resonant – No Date
Everything pointed to a Control sequel, but nobody expected this surprise – an interesting game that puts this series back in the media spotlight.
Replaced – No Date
A cyberpunk world that doesn’t seek spectacle, but rather tells an intimate story amidst chaos. It’s one of those games that enter through the eyes but stay for what they convey.
007 First Light – No Date
This new vision of James Bond aims for a more narrative and elegant approach. Less exaggeration, more classic espionage – everything needed to reveal the beginnings of this mythical agent.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight – No Date
Humor, action, and constant nods to the DC universe. LEGO Batman returns with a story that mixes the dark side of the character with the lighthearted tone of the series, along with many historical references.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy – No Date
A prequel or sequel to the A Plague Tale series already has my full attention. All that’s left is to wait for more details and some gameplay, although I have no doubt it will be worth talking about.
Fable – No Date
The return of Fable promises to maintain its humor but with a modern and ambitious presentation. A fantasy world that doesn’t take itself too seriously but knows when to hit with real emotions.
