After a solid launch within Xbox Game Pass, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is gearing up to receive one of its most comprehensive updates to date. Although version 1.4.1 is already available on PC as preparation, the real changes will arrive with patch 1.5, scheduled for the week of August 11th. And if you’re one of those who enjoyed its dark atmosphere and demanding combat system, what’s coming next may interest you even more.

The update won’t just tweak technical details, but will also introduce highly anticipated gameplay improvements and fixes requested by the community since launch. From changes in animations and enemies to corrections of visual and performance errors, the patch aims to elevate the level of this soulslike proposal set in Ming dynasty China.
Patch 1.5 of Wuchang will bring key adjustments in combat, performance, and stability
Although the final list will be published when it’s available, these are some of the changes already confirmed by the studio:

Adjustments to the i-frames of the recovery animation after being knocked down, to avoid unfair punishments.

Faster healing animation and the possibility of canceling it with a dodge, improving combat strategy.

Rebalancing of minor enemies, which will now have less impact resistance.

Complete review of animations and values of certain NPCs and enemies, to improve fluidity and consistency.

Update of object and equipment descriptions and texts, including new voice lines.

Solution to the bug of the Buddha that disappeared after forcing the game to exit in chapter 1.

Correction of the error that prevented using certain keys (Shift, Ctrl, Alt) in keyboard configuration.

Reduced waiting time in elevators, especially in chapter 5, and solution to a bug that could trap us.

Correction of errors with supersampling in high graphics, which applied incorrect values on some equipment.

Improvements in compatibility with future AMD drivers, preparing for the next technical patch.

Solution to errors in objects like the Benediction or Jade Pendant in NG+ modes that didn’t work correctly.

This patch also addresses audio issues, such as cuts or distortions on certain devices, and corrects several minor errors that affected the title’s overall stability.
